To The Editor:
The Wilson Hill Association, the town of Louisville, and the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) worked together to organize the fourth annual Louisville Turtle Trot Walk-Run. The race course was a 3.2-mile flat, fast, scenic route along the beautiful St. Lawrence River. The July 13 event was open to the public.
Our goal was to raise $4,000 for the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. We are very pleased to report that we had 191 registered for the event and exceeded our goal by raising a net total of $4,581.94.
Ribbon medal awards were given to the 1st place male and female in each of the following age groups: 15 and under – Max Luebbers, time 25:56 and Gabby Dunkelberg, time 25:24; ages 16 to 29 – Corey Lamere, time 19:50 and Bekkah Bond, time 21:40; ages 30 to 39 – Nate DArienzo, time 26:08 and Amy Hollister, time 25:46; ages 40 to 49 - Bob Dunkelberg, time 21:39 and Leanne Vella, time 25:28; ages 50 to 59 - Sean Doyle, time 23:50 and Bethanne Beshaw, time 29:16; ages 60 to 69 – Jim Earle, time 24:09; Michelle Perras, time 40:10; ages 70 plus - Will Ludwig, time 59:18; Gerry Pike, time 53:59.
