PORT LEYDEN — Lewis County sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday charged Teresia L. Jenne, 53, Brantingham, with seven counts of issuing a bad check.

She was accused of issuing the checks from a closed account between May 8 and June 16 at Lock 96, Route 12. She is to appear in Leyden Town Court.

Ms. Jenne last week was charged by Lowville village police with first-degree identity theft for allegedly trying to use another person’s identity to obtain a $6,000 loan.
