Alissa Herron and Douglas Rucki, Stanfield, N.C., were married at 1 p.m. on July 6 in Charleston, S.C.

The bride is the daughter and stepdaughter of Jim and Alice Herron, Watertown, and Donna and Howard Haller, Elgin, S.C. The groom is the son of Ken and Kathy Rucki, Watertown.

Heather Moberly, Eufaula, Ala., was maid of honor. Sara Ess, Stanfield, was her mother’s junior bridesmaid.

Ken Rucki, Watertown, was his son’s best man. Groomsman was Tristen Ess, Stanfield, son of the bride.

A reception followed the ceremony in Charleston. The couple took a honeymoon Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas.

Mrs. Herron graduated in 1992 from Watertown High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Buffalo and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville (Kentucky). She is a social worker in Stanly County, N.C.

Mr. Rucki graduated in 1990 from Watertown High School and from Jefferson Community College, Watertown, and SUNY Cortland. He is serving in the North Carolina National Guard and is a registered representative with Robinson and Associates, Stanly County, N.C.
