COPENHAGEN — State police said they charged Elizabeth G. Dillabaugh, 20, of 2969 Cataract St., after her child was found unattended and wandering into a gas station Friday morning.

Police said the child, whose name and age they did not release, was found wandering into a Stewart’s location a few blocks from Ms. Dillabaugh’s home.

Charged at her residence at noon Friday with endangering the welfare of a child, she was released with an appearance ticket for Denmark Town Court. Police said Child Protective Services was contacted in connection with the case.
