Thelma J. Wyman, 92, formerly of Hill Top Towers passed July 16, 2013 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home.

She was born on June 28, 1921 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Ross and Alice Rheaume Montondo. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1939 and from Hepburn School of Nursing in 1942 as an RN.

Thelma married Charles Wyman, of Rodman, on June 1, 1943 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. O’Neill officiating. The couple resided in Watertown and moved to Rodman in 1946.

Mrs. Wyman worked at Mercy Hospital and the House of the Good Samaritan as an RN. In September of 1967 she went to work for the Carthage Central School District, working at Carthage Elementary School in West Carthage, Augustinian Academy and retired in 1981 from Carthage Middle School as a school nurse.

She was member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, former auxiliary member of the Watertown American Legion, VFW, and Eagles Club, a member of the State Office Building Senior Citizens Club and Watertown Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, bowling, and dancing.

Mr. Wyman worked at NY AirBrake as a supervisor from 1942 until he passed on July 2, 1976. Mrs. Wyman moved to Watertown in 1982.

Among her survivors are three sons and their wives, Ross S. and Dorothy Wyman, Wyoming, IL, Charles V. and Katherine Wyman, Ontario, NY, Brett C. and Rose M. Wyman, Calcium; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. July 29 at the Rodman Cemetery.
