“The Pub” will be sponsoring it’s Seventh Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club on Saturday, August 10th at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at Langbrook Meadows Golf Course.

Cost of the Captain and Crew event is $280 per foursome and includes golf, cart, lunch, prizes and dinner at “The Pub” following the event catered by Wade Morrill and Greg Conger.

There will be prizes in Men’s, Womens and Mixed Divisions. Pre-paid registration is being accepted at the OBGC or at “The Pub.” For further information or to enter a team call the OBGC at 393-1241 or The Pub at 323-6571.

Championship

MASSENA - On Aug. 8, the Northern New York Men’s and Women’s Senior Golf Championship will be held at he Massena Country Club. The organizers of the event thank the Community Bank, N.A. for sponsoring the tournament.

The tournament will have over $3,500 in prizes to be awarded to the net, gross, and special prize winners. Last year over 170 golfers played in the event.

The tournament will be divided into six flights. The flights include: 50 to 54 years of age, 55 to 59 years of age, 60 to 64 years of age, 65 to 69 years of age, 70 to 74 years of age, and 75 years and older. Prizes will be awarded to both net and gross winners.

The day will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and will conclude with a dinner and awards ceremony at approximately 5:30 p.m. The entry fee includes the cart fee and is $47 for Massena Country Club members and $65 for non-members. For anyone who would like to walk, the entry fee is $35 for members and $50 for non-members. The entry fee covers the entire day’s activities. Brier Hill Fire

BRIER HILL - The Brier Hill Fire Company’s 8th annual golf tournament will be held Aug. 3 at Langbrook Meadows in Brier Hill. The tournament starts at 10 am. The cost is $65 per person and will be captain and crew format. The entry fee includes skins, lunch, a steak dinner and prizes. A hole in one will win a golf cart. If anyone would like to sponsor a hole or donate door prizes, or for info please call Tammy at Langbrook meadows 375-6367.

Kangaroos Golf Classic

CANTON - The SUNY Canton athletic department will host the 12th annual Kangaroos Golf Classic on August 10th at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club in Canton.

The cost is $75 per person and the format is a four-man captain and crew. Teams will be flighted based on handicaps and teams can be all male, female or mixed. There will be a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf and a cart, a hot dog and drink on the course, a tournament gift and gift bag, and a steak dinner at the course provided by Mulligans immediately after the tournament. Cost for guests at the dinner is $20. There will be first, second and third place prizes in each flight, hole-in-one prizes, putting contests, closest to the pin contests, longest and straightest drive contests and Par 3 Poker for cash.

Molson Maples

Oldtimers Golf

The Ogdensburg The Place-Missert’s Molson Maples Old Timers Hockey team will host a captain and crew golf tournament on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Langbrook Meadows Golf and Country Club in Brier Hill. The tournament will open with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and all teams are asked to be at the course by 9:30 a.m.

The entry fee is $280 (make checks payable to Ogdensburg Oldtimers Hockey) per team and includes lunch on the course, a dinner at Langbrook Meadows, prize money and a skins game.

Jerry St. Hilare Sr. Memorial

On August 10, the 6th Annual Jerry St. Hilare Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Highland Greens in Brushton to benefit St. Lawrence Central school’s baseball and softball program.

The captain and crew tournament is set to tee-off at 9 a.m.

Entry fee per player is $70 ($43 for members) and includes golf, cart, hot dog on turn, prizes and a chicken barbque.

To sponsor a hole it costs $25.

That Serves Golf Tournament

The 6th Annual Golf Tournament at Serves will be held at the Potsdam Town and Country Club on September 15. The tournament is being sponsored the First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam and will be 4-person captain and crew. There will be contests at 11 a.m. with a Noon shotgun start. Wounded Warriors

HEUVELTON - The Ogdensburg Moose Lodge is holding a golf tournament on Aug. 31 at the Gilbert Greens CC at 10 a.m. The tournament will be captain and crew format and costs $260 per team to enter. First prize is $300, second prize is $200 and third is $100. A hole in one will bring in $10,000. There will also be prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin. The tournament will benefit the Wounded Warriors. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be available on the course and pizza and wings will be served afterwards at the Moose Lodge.
