Canton Ladies play Nassau


CANTON - On Tuesday nine women members of the St. Lawrence University Oliver D. Appleton Golf Club Ladies Association came out for Ladies’ Day. The game of the day for was Nassau.

Nassau is three separate tournaments in one where the front nine is the first tournament, the back nine is the second tournament, and the entire 18 holes the third tournament.

MaryAnn Axtell led the front nine with a 45, Juanita White and Julie Degone matched 47s on the back sideand White and Debbie Ormasen shared overall honors at 94.

Patti Francis and Deb Prier shared Low Net honors at 79.

Winner of the Longest Drive - #11 was Pam Sherburne, the Winner of Closest to the Hole - #12 was Patti Francis and the Chip in Winner was Pam Sherburne - #1 (birdie).

The 50/50 drawing winner (supporting NNY 2014) was Carol Budd.

On Tuesday the game of the day will be “Best Ball” and all golfers are welcome to join. Those entering should Please sign-in at 7:15 a.m.
