Patricia Ashmall, age 69, resident of Black River, went to be with the Lord Friday, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Patricia resided in Black River since 1991 and had previously lived in North Syracuse and Altmar. She was born February 29, 1944 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Norman and Beatrice Carlson Ashmall. She graduated from APW High School in 1963 and the House of Good Samaritan School of Nursing as an RN in 1966. Patricia was employed by Carthage Area Hospital as Assistant Director of Nursing for seven years, retiring in 1991. She also worked for Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Pat enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving, one son, Charles Ashmall of Black River, three sisters, Marie Ashmall of Fulton, Alice Dana of Altmar and Mary Wadsworth of Black River, three grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and her loving companion Danny Wadsworth of Black River. Patricia was predeceased by two sisters, Elaine and Jeanette Cronk.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon, Saturday, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the funeral.
