SRF-SLC raises Malone Summer Basketball League record to 4-1


MALONE - SRF-SLC improved to 4-1 in the Malone Summer Basketball League standings with a 51-40 win over Chateaugay on Monday night at the Franklin Academy gym.

Heading into the final week of the season, Malone moved to 5-0 atop the league standings after downing Chateaugay 54-39 while the other game of the night saw Salmon River drop BMC 66-43.

SRF-SLC 51, Chateaugay 40: Josh White paced the winning offense with 18 poins. Brandon Votra added 16 followed by Corey LaBounty with eight.

Owen Henderson anchored the Chateaugay (2-3) scoring with 12 points. SethYoung, Tyler Jones and Austin Green each finished with six.

Malone 54, Chateaugay 39: Austin Lamay and Jordan Yando led a balanced Malone offense with 13 points apiece followed by Alex Johnson with 11 and Jason Spaulding with nine.

Young tossed through a game-high 14 points in the losing cause. Jordan Martin added 10 and Henderson another seven.

Salmon River 66, BMC 43: Nick Hynes netted 13 points in helping to lead Salmon River to its first win in five tries. Zach Smith chipped in another 11 followed by Antoine Domino with nine.

For BMC (0-5), Adam Martin fired through a game-high 25 points and Jacob Jacques finished with 10.

MONDAY’S GAMES: Malone vs. BMC 5:30 p0.m., SRF-SLC vs. BMC 6:30 p.m., Salmon River vs. Chateaugay 7:30 p.m.
