Anita Taylor, 63, died 10 July in Chicago after a three year struggle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Ogdensburg on 9 February 1960 to Frederick and Olivia Kuehl. Her formative years were spent in Gouverneur where she graduated from high school in 1968. On 24 February 1973 she married Air Force Lieutenant Thomas Taylor at the chapel of Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of forty years Tom Taylor of Bedford, Virginia, her daughter Saara Khadir (Mansoor) of Washington, D.C. and brother Alexander Kuehl (Jane Scott) of Ameila Island, Florida and Morristown, NY. She and her family were regular visitors to the St. Lawrence River.
In 1972 Anita graduated from the Skidmore College with a BS in Nursing; she worked as a graduate nurse at Hepburn Hospital before her marriage. In 1975 she received a Masters Degree in Nursing Education from Clemson University. For the remainder of her career she practiced as a pediatric nurse and nursing educator throughout south western Virginia.
She was memorialized and interred on 12 July during a service in Bedford, Virginia.
