The heavy metal band Halestorm has been booked for a fall concert at Jefferson Community College.
The JCC Campus Activities Board announced this week that the band will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 in McVean Gymnasium.
In February, Halestorm won a Grammy Award in the best hard rock/metal performance category for the song Love Bites (So Do I) from the 2012 album The Strange Case Of ... .
Halestorm lead singer Lzzy Hale made history being the first woman in the hard rock/metal category to receive a Grammy. She is joined in the Pennsylvania-based band by her sibling, Arejay, and Joe Hottinger and Josh Smith.
Halestorm released two other albums in 2012, Hello Its Mz Hyde and ReAniMate.
Tickets go on sale for JCC students at noon Sept. 6. Tickets for the public go on sale Sept. 13. All seating is general admission.
JCC students who pay the college student life fee and present SUNY ID may buy one ticket at a reduced price of $20 in person at the JCC Student Activities office, Room 4-100. Tickets for others are $35.
