STOLEN PROPERTY - MASSENA - Village police charged Daniel L. Dox, 18, of 33 Hough Road, Massena, with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police said Dox was in possession of two 10 carat gold rings with diamonds reported stolen Tuesday from 102 Woodlawn Ave. The rings were owned by Ruben Quinones. Dox was released on an appearance ticket.



RESISTING ARREST - MASSENA - Village police charged Kimberly R. White, 49, of 41 Somerset Ave., Massena, with obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest at 2:02 a.m. Tuesday following an incident that took place July 22. Police said they were attempting to take her son, Sawyer White, into custody as part of an investigation into a burglary on Nightengale Ave. when Ms. White informed them they were not arresting her son and reportedly got in the faces of the police officers and started yelling obscenities. Police said Ms. White them moved in front of the block in an effort to prevent police from making contact with her son. Police said she was charged with obstruction after she failed to comply with several requests to move. They said when they attempted to take her into custody on that charge she tried to pull away and kicked the officers. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Her son was one of four Massena residents charged in connection a the burglary on Nightengale Avenue that included the theft of a handgun. Sawyer E. White, 16, of 41 Somerset Ave., Massena, was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal sale of a firearm, fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny.



GRAND LARCENY - Village police charged Brian L. Middlemiss, 28, of 426 Clark St., Massena, with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny and one count of petit larceny by village police at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He reportedly placed Bob Marley headphones, a surround sound system and a display model television set - merchandise valued at $1,477 - in a shopping cart and walked past the last point of sale in the garden center without paying for the merchandise at 6:52 p.m. June 7. He was also charged with shoplifting $1,195.96 worth of merchandise on April 24 and $834 worth of merchandise on April 12 from Walmart.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Carissa R. Kirkey, 23, of Warren Avenue, Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a seatbelt violation following a traffic stop at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday on Main Street.



UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Andrew T. Berry, 22, of Rooseveltown for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to signal at 3:34 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Park Avenue.



SUSPENDED REGISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Lindsay K. Manchester, 21, of state Route 420, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration and operation of a vehicle with an inadequate muffler at 11:13 p.m. Wednesday on Main Street.



SEXUAL ABUSE - MASSENA - Village police charged Joedi L. Foster, 20, of 169 Sylvan Falls Road, Potsdam, with second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday. The charge stemmed from allegation she had sexual contact with a 13-year-old female on the weekend of May 25-26.

Foster was released on an appearance ticket and is due in village court on Aug. 6.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Tracy T. Billhardt, 43, of Hopson Road, Brasher Falls, for speed in zone at 10:03 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on South Raquette Road.



BAD CHECKS - MASSENA - Village police charged Raymond E. Artz, 37, of15 Bridges Ave., Massena,three counts of issuing a bad check at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday. He allegedly wrote three checks for cash and had Angela McGregor cash the checks for $425 on June 21, $500 on June 22 and $550 on June 24 on an account that had insufficient funds. McGregor reportedly attempted to cash additional checks on the account, but those transactions were denied by the Twin Rivers Federal Credit Union.



ARREST WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Evan Adams, 26, of 541 River Road, Hogansburg, on an arrest warrant held by the U.S. Marshal’s Service at 11:30 a.m.Thursday at the Massena Police Department station. Police said he was taken into office when he showed up at the police station for a meeting with his federal parole officer. He was being held at the station pending transport to Syracuse for arraignment on the undisclosed charges in Northern District of New York Court.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - MALONE - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents Wednesday and early Thursday morning. Among those:

■ Ruth A. Martin, 42, of Malone and Samantha M. Gale, 22, of Fort Covington at 4:47 p.m. Wednesday in the Walmart parking lot in the town of Malone.

■ Timothy A. Wheeler, 18, of St. Regis Falls and Elizabeth M. Mayer, 48, of Moira at 2:06 a.m. Thursday on state Route 458 at County Route 5 in the town of Waverly.



INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Debra A Gordon, 58, of Potsdam for moving from lane unsafely and operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 9:02p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Elm Street.



NO SEATBELT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Teri J. Lazore, 20, of McGee Road, Hogansburg, for filure to wear a seatbelt at 11:36 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on Phillips Street.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Vincenzo Cella, 67, of Garnder Avenue, Cornwall, Ont., for speed in zone at 10:34 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop in the South Raquette River Road.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Donna L. Cole, 61, of Hogansburg for speed in zone at 10:30 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.
