NORFOLK – Mr. Edward Earl Bobbie, 48, of 1902 County Route 38, unexpectedly passed away Thursday morning, July 25, 2013 at his home.

“Eddie”, as he was affectionately known, was born August 31, 1964 in Malone, the youngest child of Lewis and Helen Mary Shirley Bobbie. He attended St. Regis Falls Central School and later received his GED. On September 9, 1994, he married Donna M. Martell in Brushton with Justice John Sherwin, officiating.

Eddie was a truck driver for Seaway Timber, where he started on March 5, 1993. He truly loved the time he spent working, whether it was in the woods or driving truck. He enjoyed working on cars, doing carpentry work, and his cocker spaniel dogs, Jasper and Pollyanna. Among his greatest enjoyments were the special moments he spent with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He was a former communicant of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in St. Regis Falls.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his step-children, Sara Lynn Sherburn and her husband, George of North Bangor, Timothy Phelps of Norfolk, and Cory Phelps and his wife, Chasity of Indiana; his grandchildren, Marissa Lynn and Hunter James Sherburn, and Makaelyn Phelps; and his siblings, Sharon Shattuck and Theresa Taylor of Virginia, Michelle Williams of Connecticut, Sherrie Bobbie of Dickinson, Linus Bobbie of Malone, Claude Bobbie of Ellenburg, Larry Bobbie of Dickinson, Todd Burnell of Brushton, and Brian Burnell of Brasher; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday 3-5 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 100 N. Main Street, Massena. Rev. Alfred Fish, pastor of St. Ann’s Church, St. Regis Falls, will offer a prayer service at 4:00 PM. Following cremation, burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
