Graveside services for Martin S. Douglas, age 77, will be held Tuesday morning, July 30, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Marys Cemetery, Ogdensburg with Rev. Scott Belinn officiating. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Douglas passed away at his home in Endicott, NY.
Mr. Douglas is survived by two cousins, Greg Mills and his wife, Nancy, and Robert Mills and his wife, Cathryn, both of Ogdensburg; and a step brother, Dick Lesperance, of Ogdensburg.
Mr. Douglas was born December 14, 1935 in Ogdensburg, the son of Martin and Eleanor Lundy Douglas. He graduated from OFA. He attended Cornell University, Harper University and Cal State University. He graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a degree in teaching. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Douglas worked in the maintenance department at TriState Airport in Endicott and retired after many years of service. He enjoyed reading history and western novels and researching geneology. He also enjoyed hunting and many outdoor sports. He enjoyed traveling and wintered in Louisiana.
