Ricky Aslanian


Memorial Services for Ricky Aslanian, 60 of Cty RT 38, Norfolk, NY will be Tuesday afternoon (July 30, 2013) 4 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Elizabeth Papazoglakis presiding.

Ricky died very unexpectedly Saturday afternoon while riding his motorcycle with his friend in Saranac Lake.

Surviving Ricky is his wife Sheila, his beloved children; Jason and wife Heather of Brasher, Garth and fiancée Susanne Boise of Fairport, NY and Alexis and fiancée Jordon Searles of Norfolk. Rick is also survived by his mother Marie Jeanette Aslanian of Massena, sisters Lynn and Michael New of Homer, Vicky Walker of Syracuse and a niece and nephew.

He was born April 5, 1953 in Massena the son Walter and Marie Jeanette (Vaillancourt) Aslanian. Following his graduation from Massena Central High School in1971 he entered West Point Military Academy graduating in 1975. Ricky proudly served his country in the US Army with the rank as Captain when he was honorably discharged in 1980.

He married Sheila Trippany May 29, 1982 at Sacred Heart Church Rev. Msg Floyd Brown presiding.

Rick entered employment as an Engineer at Alcoa Massena Operations where he worked until his medical disability in 2011. In spite of his disability he enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing but most of all his time spent with his family and enjoying life.
