LISBON – The Lisbon Homecoming parade committee is looking for more participants in its craft and vendor show and parade Aug. 16.

“We’re looking to do it a little bigger and better this year,” committee member Nancy D. McCullough said.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Lisbon Central School and make its way down Main Street to the Lisbon Medical Center.

Floats will be judged at 10:15 a.m., and John Moore of WWNY-TV7 will be the master of ceremonies, Ms. McCullough said.

She said the parade is free to enter, and businesses, community organizations and anyone else who would like to participate should contact her to join.

While the parade is community-oriented, Ms. McCullough said, the parade committee is hoping to get regional representation in this year’s event.

The craft show also will see a wide variety of goods on sale from distributors and artists across the north country, Ms. McCullough said.

“We’re looking for anything,” she said, “From Tupperware dealers to jewelry makers to quilt makers, whatever.”

The craft show will be held at the American Legion, 6991 Lisbon Center State Road 1342, right in the center of the hamlet, Ms. McCullough said.

And, she said, the show is also free of charge for vendors looking to bring their merchandise to Lisbon.

Ms. McCullough can be reached at 393-5567 or via email at nanc51@aol.com to reserve space for the vendor show or in the parade.

T-shirts will be available throughout homecoming weekend that feature this year’s theme: “I Love This Town.”
