Massena shopkeeper charged with petit larceny

PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - A Massena businesswoman has been charged with three counts of petit larceny for allegedly taking payments for furniture that is never delivered.

Village police charged Jennifer L, Parker, 44, of 80 Cook Road, St. Regis Falls, with three counts of petit larceny, She was released on an appearance ticket.

Mary Jo Munn and Shawn W. Flanders, both of Massena, and Carrie Thompson, Brasher Iron Works, told police they have given Parker money for furniture at Gramma’s Attic, Main Street, but the furniture was never delivered.

Police said Pakrer said she had used the money to pay bills but had every intention of paying it back when she had money, indicating she was expecting a large payment shortly.
