Nobody is perfect

To The Editor:

We know that nobody is perfect, and city of Ogdensburg officials are no exception. And when a mistake is made and it is not corrected the way some people feel that it should be, then they openly criticize. That is your given right as a free American to express your feelings.

But since this one person seems to criticize everything that goes on in our city, then why doesn’t she try to help the problem? It seems like every letter that she writes she complains about this or that. Does this person have any solutions to all the problems that she writes about? Does she volunteer to help on committees that will help to better the city, such as selling buttons for the Seaway Festival or help at the Boys & Girls Club Expo? When was the last time this person wrote a positive letter to the editor?

As I said, it is your right to complain, but please try to help find a correct way to solve problems. Then again,

maybe that is all you got time for is to complain about this or that. Try and be positive.

Jerry Reed
