I hear people complain about the taxes going up, but yet look at all these empty buildings we have around here and just wasting away.

I say let’s do something with them and put them to some good use for the community. Like the old jubilee store, turn it back into a food store so people don’t have to go to Potsdam, for those who can’t travel or get around like us.

What about doing something for our kids here? Give them a place to go to instead of running all over the streets. Give them games to play; get some computers for them to use and some volunteers to help out. I know I would.

Massena has a girls and boys club, and they have no problems. The kids love it.

We can reach out to the community for donations for the computers and maybe even some games. It’s not about the money but to keep our kids safe, off the streets, away from drugs, thugs, alcohol and crimes. We can get some adults to help out and give them someone they can go to for help or just someone to talk.

Let’s do this for our kids because it could make a big difference for our community.
