TURIN Three Buffalo-area men were arrested Friday on charges that they sold fake drugs to concertgoers at the 14th annual moe.down music festival at Snow Ridge Ski Resort, West Road.
Lewis County sheriffs deputies charged the men after receiving complaints that they were selling cocaine, mushrooms and marijuana to concertgoers in the camping area of the festival. Deputies said they later determined that the men were selling not actual drugs, but unknown substances.
Charged with sale of imitation substance were Larry L. Lamb, 55, and Dwayne Clark, 52, both of Buffalo, and Norman Sweet, 48, Cheektowaga. The charge stems from a Public Health law.
In addition, Kenny F. Fields, 42, Buffalo, was charged with resisting arrest after he failed to cooperate with officers when the four men were being questioned, deputies said.
Mr. Clark, Mr. Sweet and Mr. Fields were arraigned in Turin Town Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $750 bail each. Mr. Lamb was given an appearance ticket for Town Court.
