Removing jail time is a shameful idea

To The Editor:

City Council wants to rearrange a few regulations to avoid expense at their cost in defense. The first thing listed in the newspaper was the ruling against registered sex offenders and the 2007 Child Protection Act. How dare you? Are you kidding me? Of all the things to revoke, the city wants to revoke the act? Ohh, we won’t send you to jail; we’ll just fine you. And sorry, because most likely you’ll never see the money anyway.

As the public’s right to know, I want to know just exactly who proposed this! Do you have a wife? Do you have children? Do you have any family or friends? I/we want to know who proposed this. It should be open for public knowledge. This is gross, and I am sickened. This is what we have in council? Are you kidding me? This is a disgusting placement of ignorance.

This kind of thinking is what the city of Ogdensburg has to look forward to?

I’m sorry, but it is very apparent our council needs a serious makeover. I can’t even find the right adjective for this. This is so blatantly shameful.
