WADDINGTON - Jack Duncan birdied #13 while parRing the rest of the back nine at Twin Brooks Golf Course to finish with a 34 and gain medalist honors for the week in the Murrays Old Irish Inn League in Waddington at TwinBrooks Golf Course.
Jack is one of the seniors in the league but you would not know it based on his recent rounds of 38 and 37 to go with his 34. Congratulations on some great shooting, Jack.
It was also noted that another senior golfer, Colin Campbell, birdied #18 and shot a 36 to lead his partner, Pete Thomas, to an 8 point night and finish a half point behind the A Division leaders. The LaBarge brothers, Eugene and Sam, also had an 8 point night while shooting 38 and 39 respectively. In this day of electric cart golf, the LaBarges walk the course not only on Thursdays but every time they play. Kudos to these two seniors.
On the B side, it is said that you should never wake up a sleeping tiger but Dan Dinneen and Jeff Stein are now both awake and very well. Although Dan had one of those rare weeks when he went without a birdie, he still shot a 38 leading he and Jeff to an 8.5 point night and back into first place in the B Division.
