MASSENA -Lauretta M. Taillon, 98, passed away peacefully Monday evening (August 19, 2013) at Massena Memorial surrounded by her family. She was the oldest child of the late William and Bertha (Deleel) Boyce of Louisville.

Lauretta attended local schools and graduated in 1933 from St. Joseph’s Academy, Brasher Falls NY. She married Arnold Taillon on November 19, 1938.

He died April 9, 1969.

She is survived by her son James (Glenys) Taillon of Palm Beach Gardens FL.

and daughter Arlene Primeau of Massena. She was a loving grandmother to David and Marc Taillon of Fenton Missouri; Leonard Primeau and Renee Runions, both of Massena. Lauretta leaves behind two brothers, Gerald

(Betty) Boyce Canastota NY; and Herbert (Sarah) Boyce of Macedon, NY; and one sister Helen (Harlan) Tyo of Edgewater, FL. “Nana” known to all, will be missed by many great grandchildren and extended family members. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by two sisters, Dorothy Brough and Marion Blanchard, two brothers James and John Boyce, and son-in-law, Leonard Primeau. Lauretta was a devoted communicant of both St. Mary’s and St.

Joseph’s Church, a member of the League of the Sacred Heart, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary. Friends and family may call at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena Friday (August 23, 2013) from 2-4 p.m.

and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (August 24,

2013) at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery following the service.
