To The Editor:
Back the Pack held its organizational meeting for the 2013-2014 school year Aug. 7. After a welcome and introduction of new members our financial status was given.
It was announced that our 501-03 application was completed and would be submitted the next day. It was also announced that we would seek a meeting with our new superintendent of schools to introduce him to our program.
A report was given on ordering food supplies. We appointed members to all of our committees and discussed our first packing and delivery dates.
A discussion was held regarding our fundraisers, which will include the chamber Harvest Festival, the Elks Club 50s and 60s Dance, our cup sale in cooperation with the high school football club and the Bon-Ton Community Days.
We adjourned to stuff envelopes for our mailing after deciding our next meeting would be held Aug. 28 at 10:15 a.m. at the Arrow Bldg. New members are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
