A memorial mass for Richard “Ricky” E. Hargrave age 56 of Buffalo NY and formerly of Ogdensburg, will be held Wednesday (August 28, 2013) at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Scott Belina officiating. Burial will follow the service at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.

There will be no public calling hours. Ricky passed away Tuesday (Aug 20, 2013) at the Erie County Medical Center after a two year courageous battle with cancer. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Surviving are his parents Allan & Sally Hargrave of Ogdensburg; two brothers Kenneth Hargrave & his companion Sherry Streeter of Ogdensburg, Thomas Hargrave & his companion June Queor of Flackville; three sisters Anna Lenga of North Carolina, Carole Whitcombe & her husband Robert of Ogdensburg & Kelly Costello & her husband Albert of Ogdensburg along with several nieces nephews & cousins.

Ricky was born on November 13, 1956 in Canton, NY the son of Allan & Sally (Olin) Hargrave. He graduated from Lisbon High School where he excelled in baseball and was featured as the fastest runner on the team. He worked several years on the family farm, in addition to other farms in the area. He enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting and watching TV, especially the Boston Red Sox. Ricky was a very thoughtful and loving son, that had a wonderful sense of humor and was a true friend to many.
