Chamber of commerce seeking nominations to fill three board seats in 2014


The Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations to fill three seats on its board of directors for 2014. Nominations are due Sept. 6 for the three-year positions.

Stepping down from the 18-member board at the end of 2013 will be John B. Johnson, CEO of the Watertown Daily Times; Carole A. McCoy, president of Jefferson Community College, and Lynne G. Ferris, administrator of the law firm of Conboy, McKay, Bachman & Kendall.

The board of directors will review nominations at its September meeting and then mail a ballot with candidate names to its membership at large. Incoming board members will be announced in November and complete orientation in December. They will replace outgoing board members in January.

Names and contact information of candidates, who must be chamber members, may be emailed to Lynn M. Pietroski, CEO and president, at Those not interested in serving as board members but on a committee also may be nominated.
