Massena woman charged with attempted kidnapping last winter jailed for violating release conditions


BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police said Miranda M. Green, 18, of 16 Haskell St., Massena, turned herself in Sunday night on a bench warrant issued by St. Lawrence County Court Judge Jerome J. Richards alleging she had violated the conditions of her release under the supervision of the probation department on charges pending in county court. She was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility pending an arraignment in county court.

Green was indicted by a a St. Lawrence County Grand Jury for econd-degree attempted kidnapping, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, petit larceny and third-degree assault.

Prosecutors allege Ms. Green and her boyfriend, Patrick R. Lloyd, also of 16 Haskell St. and formerly of New York City,shoved Catherine A. Berry, then 17, of Massena, to the ground on Feb. 16 and kicked and punched her in the face several times. They then allegedly restrained Ms. Berry’s hands and tried to throw her into their vehicle before their actions drew the attention of neighbors in the Sycamore Street area. Ms. Berry reportedly suffered bruises and facial swelling as a result of the attack.

Lloyd has been held at the county jail for several months on the attempted kidnapping count.
