MORRISTOWN - Rather than focusing on the players lost, Morristown Central Soccer coaches Danielle Folino and George Beaulieu are looking forward to who’s back for the 2013 season.

Girls Soccer Coach Danielle Folino is excited to have roster of 16 players up four from last year.

“I can tell you that this team will be much stronger than last year. We lost Erica Fishel and Karissa Bertrand but the girls we return are strong players,” noted Folino.

“Margret Troiano and Mackenzie Barse are the lone returning seniors but the junior and sophomore classed are blessed with several good athletes: juniors - Jessica Geddes, Samantha Green and Micaela Roberts and sophomores: Elissa Bertrand, Taylor Piercey, and Liz Troiano.

Freshmen include Tiana Cardinel, Mikayla Dulmage, Logan Green, Abby Stout, Hailey Whitmarsh, and Megan Vollmer. Katie Ruso rounds out the team as a first year senior.

First year boys soccer coach George Beaulieu will be mixing up his lineup quite often in 2013.

“We are going to have several players play numerous of positions. We return eight starters but the loss of Dakota Marshall, Skyler Cobb and Bobby Simmons is going to be tough,” said Beaulieu.

Juniors Zack Kanaly and Jake VanArnam and sophomore Ryan Vollmer are three key returning offensive players while junior Luke King is preparing for his second season as the starting goalie.

Juniors Devin Dulmage, Karter VanArnam, and Tyler Delosh and Jacob Fox were starters last season and James Richards also saw time in the defense last year as a sophomore.

Newcomers include freshman Colton Colby, Austin Brooks, Brady Elliott, and Jaxson LaPiene.

“How quickly our freshman adapt to the varsity level will make a big difference on the way our season goes. We some talent but we must stay healthy and eligible.” added Beaulieu.
