To The Editor:

The DePeyster Festival Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in any way to help celebrate our 25th anniversary. It opened on Friday evening with a flag raising in memory of the deceased committee members who dedicated their time so we could hold this event every year. It involves a lot of planning and hard work by everyone to enable a small community to put this together. We appreciate everyone who came and participated in the events and hope that everyone enjoyed themselves.

This event is held to support the DePeyster United Methodist Church, DePeyster Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. We would like to thank the following patrons who made donations of merchandise or money: Turner Inn, Black Lake Ice Cream bar, Paddle Inn, Hammond Hairport, Chapman’s Sport Shop, Echoes on the Lake, the Log Cabins, Community Bank Heuvelton Branch, Jones Service Station, The Pit Stop, Heuvelton Agway, Heuvelton Deli, Betty’s Gift Shop, Stewart’s, P&J Video & More, Jreck Subs of Ogdensburg, Kinney Drugs of Ogdensburg, Sunoco of Ogdensburg, Basta’s Flower Shop, Farrand’s Flowers, Pizza Hut of Ogdensburg, Chapin’s Country Market in Rensselaer Falls, Team Blevins of Gouverneur, Newvine’s Auto Parts-NAPA of Gouverneur, Fish Bone Cafe, McLear’s, and James Putman and family.

We hope we didn’t forget anyone, and we really appreciate the support. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
