COUNTY COURT WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Scott A. Davison, Jr., 28,of 147 East Orvis St., Massena, on a county court bench warrant at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. He was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility pending an appearance later this week in county court.

Davison was sentenced to five years’ probation and ordered to pay $1,660 in restitution and $541 in fines, fees and surcharges in connection with a grand larceny charge June 10 in St. Lawrence County Court.

Davison pleaded guilty in February to cashing five checks totaling $1,660 that had been reported stolen from Dong Hoang in September 2012.

According to court documents, Davison issued five checks on Hoang’s account on Sept. 9, 2012 and allegedly forged a check for $140 at On a Roll Deli.

That incident was followed Sept. 12, 2012 when he wrote a check for $300 to On a Roll Deli. On Sept. 17, 2012, he allegedly cashed a check for $500 at the First Niagara Bank. He then allegedly returned to On A Roll Deli and wrote another check for $200 on Sept. 19, 2012. The last of the five checks was written Sept. 25, 2012, when he cashed a check for $520 at First Niagara Bank.

“Since you have released me on the 15th I’ve gotten a job and entered into treatment,” Davison told St. Lawrence County Judge Jerome J. Richards during his June court appearance. “I would just like the chance to prove that I can be a productive member of society.



UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Julia L. Larock, 48 of Maple Street, Massena, for unsafe backing following an incident at 5:20 p.m. Saturday on Maple Street.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Tonya L. Livingston, 27, of Lovejoy Road, Ogdensburg, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed her for failure to produce a license and making an unsafe start at 3:55 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Andrews Street.



INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed C.M. Hewlett, 21, of County Route 21, Canton, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate lights at 11:20 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.
