My name is Pamela Holbrook. I live in the Town of Lowville with my husband, Asa Holbrook, and our grandson, Michael Holbrook.
Asa and I have been married for more than 38 years. In all my life, I have not met anyone as painfully honest as my husband. He has been the town justice for the past 12 years and is dedicated to this job.
Prior to becoming town justice, he was a New York State trooper for 27 years before retiring in 2001. During his time with the state police, he was a supervisor for 18 years and commanded as many as 30 troopers at the Lowville and Carthage stations.
As any who worked for him will attest, he was tough but fair. This is also true of him as a town justice. He does not mince his words but says it how it is. This does not make him a lot of friends in his personal or professional life, but he has the respect of the people he deals with.
This year he faces re-election, and for me there is no choice. He likes what he is doing and wants to continue to make a difference.
Vote for honesty and openess; vote for Asa.
