NAC girls soccer: Richardson stars to lead Lisbon

OGDENSBURG — Hannah Richardson scored in the second round of penalty kicks to lead the Lisbon girls soccer team past Heuvelton and into the championship game of the Ogdensburg Free Academy Tournament on Tuesday.

The teams played to a 2-2 tie in the game, which also counted in the Northern Athletic Conference West Division standings. The first round of penalty kicks ended in a 3-3 tie.

Lisbon will face OFA in the title game at 8 tonight, and Heuvelton will meet Norwood-Norfolk in the consolation game at 6 p.m.

Lisbon tied the game in the 87th minute off an unassisted goal from Maddie Vine. Vine also scored the game’s first goal for the Golden Knights in the 15th minute.

Alexis Weidner scored both goals for Heuvelton.

Lisbon’s shootout goals came from Beth Crowley, Maeve Bowdish, Jackie Sovie and Richardson. Heuvelton’s shootout goals came from Hannah Thornhill, Rachel Thornhill and Alex Steele.

OFA 1, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 0

Riley Luckie scored from Taylor Smith in the 75th minute to lead the Blue Devils into the title game of their own tournament. It was also an Northern Athletic Conference Central Division contest.

Kirsten Snyder made eight saves for the shutout, and Megan Plumb stopped six shots for the Flyers.
