Remington Museum Classic Golf Tournament successful again

To The Editor:

The Frederic Remington Art Museum held its 2013 annual Classic Golf Tournament on Aug. 23 at SLU Appleton Golf Course in Canton. The course was in great shape on this beautiful day.

I would like to thank my very good friends, Bill and Lorraine Ford, David White, Ed LaVarnway, Julie Degone, Lennie McKinnon, Linda Stone, Gloria Gardner, Carol Beckner, John Arthur and Jay Foster-Grover for volunteering their time and for your bighearted assistance with our tournament. Thanks to Frank Mittiga and Jimmy Hennessey for your help with the tournament planning and preparation. As always, the course was in great shape.

Special thanks to Mid-State Golf Car for providing insurance and a 2013 Precedent Club Car should anyone have gotten a hole-in-one on Hole 3. We had no winners this year but we were grateful for the opportunity that you provided for every golfer in the tournament.

Thank you to Leland Farnsworth, Elaine Ames, Doug Bellinger and the all of the many wonderful servers and staff at the Best Western for a fantastic meal & great service.
