Massena man charged with forcible touching

FORCIBLE TOUCHING - MASSENA - Village police charged Jeffrey D. Fontaine, 44, of 23 Spruce St., Massena, with forcible touching at 3:15 a.m. Saturday after responding to a complaint at 2:38 a.m. that he had inappropriate contact with a female on Spruce Street. The female said she was sitting on a porch on Spruce Street with a female friend when an allegedly intoxicated Fontaine was walking down the street, walked up onto the porch and grabbed both of her breasts. She said she hit Fontaine in the face and yelled at him but he refused to leave. Moments later, she said a village police vehicle on routine patrol drove down the street and she was able to flag the officers down. He had reportedly gone to the residence earlier in the evening to ask if the home’s residents were partying. He was arraigned Saturday morning by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and released under the supervision of the probation department.
