City police charged Marshall W. VanSchepen, 23, of 241 Winslow St., Apt 2A, at 10:52 a.m. Sunday with second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, making an improper right turn, failure to keep right and not wearing a seat belt.

He is accused of driving his 2000 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck into a Watertown police cruiser, causing damage to the front passenger side bumper and fender. Police said he also refused to comply with orders of patrol officers and physically struggled with them to prevent his hands from being placed behind his back to be handcuffed.

He was released to military police with a ticket to appear in City Court.
