NAC roundup: Mott’s 4 goals lift Yellowjackets

PARISHVILLE — Jeff Mott’s scored all four goals as the Madrid-Waddington boys soccer team beat Parishville-Hopkinton, 4-3, in a Northern Athletic Conference East game on Monday afternoon.

Mott capped off the day by scoring the game-winner with just over eight minutes left in regulation for the Yellowjackets (2-1, 2-0). Wyatt Snell scored for the Panthers (2-1, 1-1).

COLTON-PIERREPONT 1, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 0 (OT)

John Angleberger finished off of a goal in the 93rd minute as the Colts edged the Panthers (0-1) in an NAC East game in South Colton. Bruce Avery stopped all 12 shots for Colton-Pierrepont (1-2, 1-1).

ST. REGIS FALLS 1, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 0

Virawat Tansirikongkhon’s goal was the difference as the Saints outlasted the Flyers (1-2, 0-1). in an NAC East game at St. Regis Falls. Mike Smith posted 16 saves for St. Regis Falls (1-0).

MALONE 1, SALMON RIVER 0

Isai Paredones scored in the 28th minute for the Huskies in an NAC Central win over the Shamrocks (2-3-1, 0-1-1) in Malone. Austin Lamay made 11 saves for Malone (3-1, 2-0).

OFA 3, MASSENA 0

Nathan Peo scored twice as the Blue Devils blanked the Red Raiders (1-2, 0-1) in an NAC Central contest at Massena.Dylan Binion tucked home a goal and Jake Sias stopped seven shots for Ogdensburg Free Academy (3-0, 2-0).

POTSDAM 7, GOUVERNEUR 1

Pat Normandin generated two goals as the Sandstoners routed the Wildcats (0-3, 0-2) in an NAC Central game at Gouverneur. Ashler Herrick collected five saves for Potsdam (2-0).

LISBON 2, HEUVELTON 1

Adam Kelley’s goals propelled the Golden Knights past the Bulldogs (1-1) for an NAC West victory at Lisbon. Jimmy Robinson stopped four shots for Lisbon (3-1, 2-0).

HARRISVILLE 1, EDWARDS-KNOX 0

Tim Fowler netted the game’s only goal with 26 second left to in regulation as the Pirates outlasted the Cougars (1-1) in NAC West play at Russell. Zane Mono stopped four shots for Harrisville (2-0).

HAMMOND 4, CLIFTON-FINE 1

The Red Devils scored the last three goals of the game as they got past the Eagles (0-2) in an NAC West game at Hammond.Tristan Simons, Brock Tulley, Zeck Davidson-Cunningham and Alex Fokesson each provided goals for Hammond (1-1).

HARRISVILLE 1, EDWARDS-KNOX 0

Courttney LaBeau scored with 12 minutes remaining in the game to give the Pirates in a NAC West win over the Cougars (0-2-0) in Harrisville. Abby Lafaver stopped 10 shots for Harrisville (1-0-1).

CANTON 3, EDWARDS-KNOX 2

The Bears rallied from losing the first two sets to beat the Cougars 16-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-21 in NAC West play at Russell. Megan Howard generated 12 service points for Canton (1-1). Edwards-Knox fell to 1-1.

OFA 3, GOUVERNEUR 0

Taylor Perry’s 12 service points paced the Blue Devils, sweeping the Wildcats (0-2) 25-11, 25-14, 25-18 in an NAC West game at Ogdensburg. Taylor Fisher chipped in with six aces for OFA (1-1).

POTSDAM 3, MADRID-WADDINGTON 0

Sara Vivlamore delivered 22 points with eight assists as the Sandstoners swept the Yellowjackets (1-1) 25-11, 25-15, 25-14 in an NAC West match at Waddington. Simone Doelger collected five assists for Potsdam (2-0).

Brittany Brooks registered 12 points and eight kills as the Shamrocks beat the Panthers 16-25, 25-9, 25-18, 25-13 in an NAC East game at Fort Covington. Raven Oakes had 13 assists and 10 points for Salmon River (2-0).
