BRASHER FALLS – Mrs. Kathy Rose Eckstein, 58, of 54 Upper Ridge Road, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

Kathy was born February 7, 1955 in Grand Junction, Colorado, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Alice Hill McConaughy and attended schools in San Diego, California. On May 12, 1972, she married Fred H. Eckstein in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While living in the San Diego area, she worked for Buck Knives, Audrey’s Worm Ranch, and as a cook at Alpine Meadows Living Center. She loved to be outside doing yardwork and landscaping. She also enjoyed going to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and the Mohawk Bingo Palace.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Fred; her sons, Fred H. Eckstein, Jr and his wife, Janelle of Norwood; Thomas Eckstein and his fiance, Bobbi Perkins of Massena; Frank Eckstein of Brasher; five grandchildren, David, Nakita, Allysin, Breawnna, and Brennan; two great grandchildren, Kadyn and Aneisa; her sister, Carol Evans and her husband, Ronald of Florida, an uncle, Joe Hill of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

She was precedeased by her brothers, Bobby and Walt McConaughy.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangments are with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where condolences may be made online at www.donaldsonfh.com.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Route 37, Massena, NY 13662.
