Chamber citizen nominees sought

The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of commerce will host its annual dinner on Nov. 8at the Gran-View Restaurant and is accepting nominations for the 2013 Citizen of the Year.

Some of the criteria used in judging include: if the service he/she does is part of his/her job; the kind of service offered; how long have they been doing this service; any service projects are they involved in or have been involved in; people affected by their service work effect; who their service work impacts;if they are creative; and if they help motivate others.

The chamber is also accepting nominations for the Business Improvement Award recipient, looking for a business that has had a profound positive impact on the community and its’ appearance by renovating and revitalizing an existing building into a thriving business enterprise.

The chamber is also accepting nominations for the Outstanding Community Service Award recipient which goes to a person or group who have contributed their time and work into a project for which the entire community benefits.
