DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Jason A. Clookey, 34, of 8545 state Route 56, Norfolk, with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for speed in zone and illegally passing a red light at 1 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street. Police said Clookey refused to take a breathalyzer test.

HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Village police charged Amanda L. Savage, 25, of 185 Center St., Apt. 2, Massena, with second-degree harassment at 9:05 p.m. Friday following an investigation into an incident that took place at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 8 when she reportedly punched Cassy Clark in the face. Ms. Clark told police she was sitting in a vehicle talking to another woman when Savage came up behind the other woman and punched her in the eye.

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police traveled picked up Peter J. Shantie, 34, of 277 Reed Drive, Massena, on a bench warrant Friday afternoon. Shantie was taken into custody on the warrant, transported to Massena, arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.

Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson had signed the warrant on July 23 after Shantie failed to appear in court as scheduled on June 18 on pending second-degree criminal contempt and unlawful possession of marijuana charges.

Village police had charged Alexis N. Gondosch, 25, of Massena and Shantie, 33 with second-degree criminal contempt and unlawful possession of marijuana on Oct. 15. Police said Gondosch had allowed Shantie to be with her, which violated a temporary order of protection issued by St. Lawrence County Family Court Judge Cecily L. Morris earlier that day.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Lisa J. Gonzalez, 49, of 663 state Route 37C, Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 3:20 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Beech Street.

STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Helene Gratton, 40, of Gatineau, Que., for a stop sign violation at 10:27 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on Stephenville Road.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Schuyler F. Oakes, 21, of Pleasant Street, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 10 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on North Main Street.
