More charges filed in Central Street stabbing

The Central Street man who allegedly stabbed a woman Thursday morning faces additional charges in connection with the domestic dispute incident.

On Friday, Lisandro Torres, 34, of 132 Central St., was charged with a second count of second-degree assault and first-degree criminal contempt. Those charges stem from his alleged assault on his live-in girlfriend, Jessica E. West, 31, city police said.

According to court papers, Mr. Torres struck Ms. West on the head with a porch light, causing a fracture to her right eye socket. He also violated an order of protection by causing a physical injury to Ms. West, the protected party in the order, court papers said.

On Thursday, Mr. Torres was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief after he allegedly stabbed Alicia E. Hollenbeck, 20, of 27634 Route 283, Black River, in the upper torso with a knife.

Both women were treated at Samaritan Medical Center.

Mr. Torres fled on foot from the duplex but later turned himself in, police said.

He was arraigned Friday morning in Watertown City Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on no bail.
