DEXTER — Zach Pitre scored twice, including an 80-yard kickoff return to start the second half, and intercepted a pass, as the General Brown football team beat South Jefferson, 16-6, in an interclass game on Friday.

Pitre also ran in a touchdown from 3 yards out in the fourth quarter and picked up 79 yards on 17 carries for General Brown (2-0).

Derek Webb blocked a punt in the second quarter that the Lions recovered in the end zone for a safety.

Dylan Beckstead paced the Spartans (0-2) with 70 yards on 16 carries, including a 2-yard TD run.

SANDY CREEK 44, NEW YORK MILLS 14

Five different players scored a rushing touchdown, John Shirley and Tyler Brown each returned an interception for a score, and the defending Section 3 Class D champion Comets rolled over the Marauders in a Class D Central Division game in Sandy Creek.

Cameron Hall and Zach Brown scored on first-quarter touchdown runs of 25 and 10 yards, respectively, for Sandy Creek (2-0).

Quarterback Tyler Swarthout scored on a 35-yard run, while Shirley and Bobby Cornell each added a one-yard touchdown.

Jake Benedict led the defense with 11 tackles and a sack, and Tyler Brown contributed eight tackles. Shirley also forced a fumble and finished with five tackles.

THOUSAND ISLANDS 40, SOUTH LEWIS 6

Collin Bourcy was credited with 418 total yards and three touchdowns, leading the Vikings to an interclass nonleague victory over the Falcons in Turin.

Bourcy caught seven passes for 256 yards and touchdowns of 57 and 13 yards. He also ran for 162 yards total, including a 10-yard score, on eight carries for Thousand Islands (1-1).

Quarterback Tyler Gilfus completed all seven of his pass attempts to Bourcy. Travis Anderson added touchdown runs of 15 and 8 yards, and Gilfus punched it in from a yard out for the Vikings.

Corey Marolf ran for 43 yards on eight carries and provided the lone touchdown on a one-yard run for South Lewis (0-2).

WATERTOWN 29, FOWLER 28

Eric Soderquist kicked a 27-yard field goal with less than two minutes remaining as the host Cyclones (1-1) overcame a 14-0 deficit to earn the Class A crossover victory over the Falcons (0-2).
