FORT COVINTON - OFA saw its unscored streak end after 355 minutes in Mondays NAC Central Division Boys Soccer game at Salmon River.
The first goal allowed by the Devils and goaltender Jake Sias, this season, came five minutes before the half when Antoine Domino coverted from Brayton Burns to create a 1-1 tie.
The undefeated Devils (3-0 NAC Central, 5-0 overall) reacted by scoring four quick goals early in the second half and cruised to a 6-1 victory in their only game of the week. The Devils will spend the rest of the week gearing for division games with Gouverneur and Canton on Monday and Thursday and a trip to Chazy next Saturday.
Conor Hannan, who set up a Peyton Lalone goal midway through the first half, scored the first two goals of the flurry. The first came unassisted and the second was assisted by Nate Peo.
Dillon Binion followed with a goal from Lalone and Matt Piercey scored off a throw-in from Seth Pinkerton for the second time in two games.
Jordan Miller completed the scoring with five minutes to play drilling a corner kick which deflected off a defender into the net.
The guys continue to mess very well together. Our chemistry is very good and our defense and Jake Sias (6 saves) in goal are playing very well, said OFA Coach Matt Morley.
We all know that we have ways to go but I really like where we are as a team right now. We missed some good scoring chances in the first half today and came right out in the second and put some nice goals away.
