Actor Tom Cruise visited Lake Placid Sunday with his daughter, Suri.
Among stops was the Boots and Birdies miniature golf complex and bungee jumping center on Saranac Avenue.
He was with another family with a few kids, according to a posting on the Boots and Birdies Facebook page. They were a great group! All had fun.
According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Mr. Cruise showed up at the complex at about 3 p.m. Sunday after owners received a call requesting it be closed to the public. About 10 people were in the group, the paper reported.
Scotty Marshall, owner of Boots and Birdies, told the Enterprise that Mr. Cruise and his group had taken a gondola ride at Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in Wilmington earlier that day. At Boots and Birdies, he said, Mr. Cruise video-recorded his daughter as she bungee-jumped. He said the group departed at about 3:30 and left the area in a private plane.
