PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Elizabeth A. Azar, 33, of South Colton with petit larceny at 1:27 p.m. Wednesday stemming from an incident reported to them at 12:59 p.m. Wednesday from the town of Potsdam. She was issued an appearance ticket.



DWI - WESTVILLE - Malone-based state police charged Tammy P. Oakes, 37, of Hogansburg with driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 of 1 percent and moving from lane unsafely at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 122 in the town of Westville. She was released to a third party.



ACCIDENT- NORTH HUDSON - A Chateaugay man was airlifted to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., following a one-vehicle rollover accident at approximately 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on I-87 in North Hudson.

New York State Police said Brian J. Conto, no age available, of Chateaugaywas southbound when he drove off the west shoulder of the roadway and struck a rock cut, causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle eventually came to a rest on its roof.

Mr. Conto was airlifted to Fletcher Allen Health Care with multiple injuries and is listed in stable condition.

North Hudson Fire Department, Schroon Lake Fire Department and Elizabethtown-Lewis EMS all responded to assist with the accident, which remains under investigation.



ACCIDENT - CLINTON - Chazy-based state police investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 11 in the town of Clinton. The vehicle was operated by Brenda L. Cowan, 48, of Chateaugay, and no injuries were reported.
