To The Editor:

The Massena Central High School Hall of Fame Committee would like to thank you for helping to make the 24th annual induction weekend on Sept. 13 and 14 another huge success.

Key Bank, who sponsors the induction ceremony and provides for the award plaques and certificates. The Hall of Fame is a self sustaining organization, and without their financial support the induction, as is, would not be possible.

Tom Siddon and Dee Dee Cappione for their help and support of the golf tournament.

The MCHS Food Service Staff - Peter Bertrand, Chrissy Phillips, Dawn Fregoe, Tracie Huddleston, Vickie Montondo and Fran Oakes for the breakfast provided on Saturday morning.

All the behind the scene’s people who work to make the induction a success - Claudeen Watkins for program booklets, plaque organization and correspondence; Kevin McBath for certificates; Maureen Donnelly for printing; Deb Croff for name tags and correspondence; Bill Sequin and staff for set up for the ceremony - Jerry LaShomb and Perry Hayden.

Darren Delosh, Mike Baines and Steve Robert for the wall being re-built and organized.

Tim Hayes, director of Athletics, for all his behind the scenes work and support.

The Massena Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary for sponsoring the reception after the ceremony. It was wonderful, as usual.

Coach’s Corner (Al Chilton and staff) for the post-game reception.

Sandy Cook and WMSA for their continued great coverage of the induction ceremony and halftime.

Jon Hunkins and the MCHS Pep Band.

The Courier-Observer - Bob Beckstead and Ryne Martin - for their coverage of the event from beginning to end. It was super.

Jean Lennon and Le-anne White for selling Hall of Fame shirts and jackets.

Mike Zappia for Hall of Fame clothing.

All who helped rebuild the Wall of Fame - especially Massena Savings and Loan - Kirk Wilmshurst - without them and numerous others’ support it would have never happened. Thanks.

To all who nominated and hopefully will continue to nominate.

The “Red Raider” Hall of Fame is long in pride and tradition. We are especially proud that we can continue to honor our excellence in athletics and those athletes who are such a special part of our community.

Thanks to all mentioned and probably more - without you none of this would be possible.

Thanks.
