DeFelsko expansion in Ogdensburg

DeFelsko Corp., a manufacturer of coating thickness gauges and precision instruments, is expanding.

The company, located at 802 Proctor Ave. in the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority’s Commerce Park, plans to acquire the Deringer customs brokerage next door at 800 Proctor Ave. to accommodate the expansion, according to OBPA Chairman Samuel J. LaMacchia.

DeFelsko Corp. will officially announce the expansion today.

The OBPA board will meet this morning to approve both the authority’s purchase of the Deringer building from the broker and its sale to DeFelsko, Mr. LaMacchia said.

Deringer will relocate to another OBPA industrial building at nearby 835 Commerce Park Drive.

DeFelsko was founded in 1966 by Frank Koch, a native of Ottawa.
