CARTHAGE Grace Metzler captured the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races and contributed to the first-place 200 free relay to help lift the Lowville girls swimming team to a 94-91 Frontier League interdivision victory over Carthage on Thursday.
Kelsey McLean took first in the 500 free, second in the 200 free and swam on the winning relay. Megan Denise won the diving event for Lowville (4-0).
Gabbee Park and Claire Sauter each won two races and swam legs on two victorious relays for Carthage (1-3).
Park claimed the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke, and Sauter took the 200 free and 100 butterfly.
SOUTH JEFFERSON 100, THOUSAND ISLANDS 77
Amy Johnson, Hannah Markey and Anna Docteur each won two individual races and swam on a pair of first-place relays to help power the Spartans to a FL interdivision victory at Adams.
Johnson captured the 50 free and 100 butterfly, and Markey took the 100 free and 100 backstroke. Docteur added victories in the 200 and 500 free for South Jefferson (4-1, 3-1).
Darien Frederick claimed the diving event for Thousand Islands (2-2).
INDIAN RIVER 88, BEAVER RIVER 82
Rachel Rodriquez captured the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke and contributed to a pair of first-place relays to help lift the Warriors to a Frontier League interdivision victory at Philadelphia.
Kali Sherbino added wins in the 100 individual medley and 100 breaststroke and swam on a winning relay for Indian River (1-3).
Kaleigh Lehman claimed the 200 and 500 free and was a part of a victorious relay for Beaver River (1-3).
WATERTOWN 91, SOUTH LEWIS 79
Kaylee Cook, Julia Marilley and Brooke Peters each claimed two races and were a part of two fastest relays to help guide the host Cyclones to an interdivision victory.
Cook captured the 100 and 200 free, and Marilley took the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Peters won the 50 free and 100 butterfly for Watertown (4-1, 4-0).
Mia Poste claimed the diving event for South Lewis (0-4).
IHC 3, LOWVILLE 0
Jude Fusilli scored twice and the host Cavaliers cruised to a crossover victory over the Red Raiders (3-4).
Chris Rowland added a goal and Jake Fusilli provided an assist, while Jarrod Smith registered five saves for the shutout for Immaculate Heart Central (5-2).
COPENHAGEN 2, THOUSAND ISLANDS 0
Antonio Figueroa supplied a goal and an assist in the second half as the Golden Knights secured a Frontier League crossover victory at Clayton.
Brenden Jacobs also scored, and Greg Kunert recorded an assist. Robbie Groff and Brandon Buckley combined for nine saves for Copenhagen (7-0, 6-0).
Sam Ada made nine saves for Thousand Islands (3-2).
SACKETS HARBOR 4, ALEXANDRIA 0
Eric Chrostowski scored three goals to power the Patriots past the Purple Ghosts (3-4) in a D Division game at Sackets Harbor.
Ethan Dillabough scored, and Ryan Allen and Shea Lynch each provided an assist for Sackets Harbor (3-2).
LAFARGEVILLE 2, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0
Red Knights goalie Thomas ODriscoll made five saves to record the shutout as host LaFargeville won a D Division game.
Ethan Johnson scored in the 15th minute for the Red Knights (2-5), and Colton Denny followed with a tally in the 44th minute.
Eli Merced finished with eight saves for the Panthers (0-4).
LYME 3, BEAVER RIVER 1
Mark Parker converted two penalty kicks in the second half, lifting the Indians to a Frontier League crossover win at Beaver Falls.
Troy Wilson also scored, and goalie Christian Sanford stopped four shots for Lyme (5-1).
Cordel Brouty tied the game early in the second half, and Deion Jones made 18 saves for Beaver River (0-4).
