DWI - HOPKINTON - Massena-based state police charged Jason C. Vincent, 29, of state Route 458, Nicholville, with driving while intoxicated and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway following a traffic stop at 8 p.m. Saturday on Mill Street in the town of Hopkinton.

Troopers said they stopped to check on Vincent’s status after observing his vehicle stopped on the shoulder on Mill Street in Nicholville. When they asked if he was ok, police said they noticed Vincent’s slurred speech and several open alcohol containers in the car.

Vincent’s blood alcohol content was reportedly 0.12 percent.

DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Richard P. Babcock, 41, of 59 Main St., Moira, with driving while intoxicated - refusal and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for failure to keep right following a traffic stop at 2:07 a.m. Sunday on state Route 37.

Troopers said that after they stopped Babcock for failing to keep right on Route 37 they determined his operating privileges had been suspended for failure to pay child support.

Babcock’s blood alcohol content was 0.17 percent, state police said.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - BOMBAY - Malone-based state police said Jill J. Barse, 43, of Moira was involved in a property damage accident at 4:17 p.m. Saturday on County Route 4, near Scanlon Road, in the town of Bombay.
