SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music plans a free concert featuring faculty member Anna Hendrickson on oboe and guest artists cello player Natasha Farny on cello and Kuang-Hao Huang on piano.

The performance of works by Benjamin Britten is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall.

It’s the 100th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, one of the most moving composers of the 20th century. Featured will be the chamber pieces “Temporal Variations,” “The Wasp,” “The Grasshopper,” “Cello Sonata, Op. 65” and the oboe solo “Six Metamorphoses After Ovid, Op. 49.”
