SLC Arts calendar features work of north country artists


POTSDAM - SLC Arts has just announced the release of the inaugural Fine Art Up North calendar - an annual publication featuring a juried selection of work from north country artists.

Each month of the 2014 calendar features a different artist’s work in a high gloss 8.5”x11” reproduction. This year’s calendar includes work by the following local artists (listed in the order their work appears in the calendar): Sharon H.J. Cheng (Potsdam), Melissa Schulenberg (Potsdam), Michiko Taylor (Potsdam), Jim Bullard (Potsdam), Leon LeBeau (Colton), Anne Siebley (Canton), John Elwood Cook (Wellesley Island), Paul Pedersen (Russell), Steven Pedersen (Potsdam), Ray Whalen (Parishville), Judy Andrus Toporcer (Colton), and Timur Isack Azaev (Hannawa Falls).

The calendars will be available for purchase for $12 each starting Oct. 5 at the Remington Arts Festival on the Canton Village Green. Anyone who joins or renews their SLC Arts membership at the $50 level or above between now and the end of the year will receive a calendar as a free gift.
